Blyde River Canyon
No trip to Mpumalanga and the Kruger National Park would be complete without a trip through the world famous panorama route.
Enjoy majestic views from the world famous Blyde River Canyon, the second largest canyon in Africa, and perhaps the largest green canyon in the world.
The highest point of the canyon, Mariepskop, is 1,944 metres (6,378 ft) above sea level, whilst its lowest point where the river leaves the canyon is slightly less than 561 metres (1,841 ft) above sea level. This means that by some measure the canyon is 1,383 metres (4,537 ft) deep.
Gods Window & Bourkes Luck Potholes
As we travel along the plateau we will visit and stop at various viewpoints where you will enjoy breathtaking vistas of the magical Lowveld. From the magnificance of Gods Window where on a clear day the coast of Mozambique is visible, to the majestic three rondavels and the awe inspiring Bourkes Luck Potholes, you will be blown away and inspired by nature’s beauty.
Graskop Gorge Lift
For Lunch, time permitting we shall stop at the Graskop Lift. Explore this world class attraction which drops 51 meters down the gorge into an indigenous forest or have a bite to eat and absorb the beauty of this rare attraction.
Waterfalls & Pools
Some of the highlights of your tour would include the Lisbon falls where the Lisbon River drops over 90M into a spectacular pool below, or the Mac Mac pools and falls. The Mac Mac waterfall was originally a single stream, but gold miners blasted it with dynamite to divert the river in an attempt to work the rich gold-bearing reef over which it plunges.
